I'm afraid I don't know who is meant by "Sirius", but maybe someone of you does?

"In exceptionally fine weather the above show was held in the Ranelagh Club grounds, Barnes, and was in every respect an unqualified success. The entry totalled 2,678, as compared with 3,257 last year, a falling-off of about six hundred, but twenty classes less were scheduled, and making due allowance for war time, it was a grand collection of dogs to be benched, quality being of a very high standard all round. In the afternonn Her Majesty Queen Alexandra accompanied by the Grand Duchess George of Russia, with Princess Nina and the Princess Victoria, visited the show, with the Hon. Charlotte Knollys, General the Right Hon. Sir Dighton Probyn, and Colonel Sir Arthur Davidson in attendance, and witnessed a parade of prize-winners. The Royal party was received by Lady by Lady Evelyn Ewart, Lady Kathleen Pilkington, the Secretary of the Club, and Miss G. A. Desborough, Secretary of the Association. ...

"The exigencies of the stirring times in which we live necessitated the removal of the PetDog Show from the Royal Horticultural Hall, Westminser, S.W., to the Lambeth Baths, Kennington Road, S.E., but the change of venue had no ill effect upon this popular fixture, the entry totalling 920, made up of ...
